We have a heart for Children

My child doesn’t seem to have an easy time with friendships. They show signs of anxiety, anger, or sadness, and often express a reluctance to go to school. I suspect my child may have ADHD and is facing executive functioning difficulties. Recently, the school contacted me to express their concerns. My child is struggling with intense emotions and behaviors and does not know how to regulate them. To address these issues, I am considering seeking help from a child counsellor. Join our 6 Week Group Focus sessions on Confidence and Self-Esteem and Managing Anxiety, led by a qualified therapist in North Vancouver.

In our small therapy group, your child can learn to knit and crochet fun projects, including stuffies, while exploring the therapeutic benefits of these creative activities.

Whether your child is new to knitting and crocheting or has some experience, they will thrive in a safe and positive environment provided by our North Vancouver counsellors. All supplies are included.

Sessions are held on Wednesdays from 4:45 - 5:45 pm with Desiree for just $65 per session.

Supervision for Registered Clinical Counsellors

Desiree Blume is an Accredited Clinical Supervisor and an experienced child counsellor. She is available to meet individual RCCs for supervision or you can join a supervision group with other North Vancouver counsellors. All supervision is conducted virtually, unless you speak directly with Desiree. Individual virtual sessions can be scheduled for Mondays or Fridays, while group virtual sessions take place on Mondays from 1-2 pm. Individual sessions are priced at $150 per hour, and group sessions are $125 for a 1.5-hour session, making it an accessible option for those seeking support from North Vancouver therapists.

Fees and Information

Our rates for therapy sessions with our North Vancouver counsellors range from $100/hour for interns to $170/hour. Please see the rates listed in the description of each therapist in North Vancouver below. We offer a 50-minute hour to allow our therapists to transition smoothly between sessions.

Desiree is now pleased to offer direct billing to Pacific Blue Cross Members.

We meet in our beautiful North Vancouver offices in person - either #111 or #217. We also provide options for video and phone sessions with our therapists in North Vancouver.

All therapists, including our child counsellor, receive regular supervision from Desiree and Maria, who are both Approved Clinical Supervisors.

Our therapists are here to support you during challenging times. They welcome feedback to make sessions more helpful for you. At the end of each session, you can provide feedback by filling out an evaluation form either online or in person.
